Often, it seems like the big decisions for the planet's future are out of our control. But there are many things that we as individuals can do to make an impact.

Today, you will be creating a mandate for how you can live a greener life. Make a poster and describe at least 15 ways in which you, your family, your friends, your school and your city can help take steps to a greener future. You can use photos, videos, pictures and anything else to help support your ideas.

#12 Bike to School and Work
I will make it a goal to bike to school at least 3 days a week. It is usually sunny where I live, so biking is an excellent way to get around. My school is not too far from my house, and it is a safe bike ride. I will try to encourage my friends and family to use their bikes as well. I also think the school should have a Bike to School week every month, where kids can get prizes for biking to school and sharing information about why biking is a great alternative to driving. That way, maybe we can get more people excited about riding their bikes!
